Growth Mindset Mantra of the Month ~ ‘My brain is like a muscle that grows’
Indian Experience Day – Monday 15th October
Before half term the whole school took part in Indian Experience Workshops. Sunita led the workshops teaching children about Hindu and Indian customs and traditions. The children learned Indian dancing which was presented to parents during an assembly at the end of the day.
Well done to Lyra, Finley, Hayden, Kaylen, and Thomas who took part in a football tournament with Litcham Primary and Great Massingham Primary.
KS2 Cross Country
Eleven pupils took part in West Norwich and Dereham School Sports Partnership cross country event at Taverham Hall. Despite the very wet weather all tried their hardest. Congratulations to Theo whose 10 place finish has led to a place in the next round. Well done to everyone. Thank you to Mr Fiddy and Mr Whitty for accompanying the children.

Hicking Regimental Museum Visit
Hickling travelled to Norwich Castle to visit the Regimental Museum as part of their project ‘Fields Familiar, Foreign and Far Away’. Pupils were able to research the lives of soldiers, examine soldier’s uniforms and accessories and learn about life during the war.
A message from FoDS
Thank you for the brilliant support for the cake sale. Families from Oulton Class did a great job providing the cakes which sold well, with a fabulous £65.00 being raised.
The Bag2school was also a big success and many orders for Christmas cards have been made. This year, fundraising is supporting playground equipment, French dictionaries for each class and the transport to the pantomime.
Our next planning meeting is on Wednesday 7th November at 2.30pm at the school. Come along to share your fundraising ideas!
